BlueMesh: Bluetooth Chat

1. Information We Handle

BlueMesh: Bluetooth Chat is designed to provide nearby Bluetooth messaging and related application features.

Depending on the features you use, the application may handle Bluetooth device information, messages exchanged through the Bluetooth connection, local application preferences, notification information, and technical information processed by integrated third-party services.

We do not require you to create an account or provide your name, email address, phone number, or other personal profile information to use the core Bluetooth chat functionality.

2. Bluetooth and Nearby Devices

BlueMesh uses Android Bluetooth functionality to discover, connect to, and communicate with compatible nearby devices.

Bluetooth permissions may allow the application to access information about nearby Bluetooth devices and establish a connection with devices that you choose to communicate with.

Bluetooth communication is required for the application's core messaging functionality.

Bluetooth device information is used to provide device discovery, connection, and messaging features. We do not use Bluetooth scanning for the purpose of tracking your physical movements.

3. Location Permissions

Depending on your Android version and device configuration, Android may require location-related permissions for certain Bluetooth discovery or scanning functionality.

BlueMesh may request ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION and ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION because they can be required by Android for Bluetooth functionality on supported Android versions.

The application does not require your precise physical location as part of the core Bluetooth messaging experience.

You can control location permissions through Android system settings. Restricting required permissions may prevent some Bluetooth discovery or connection features from working correctly.

4. Messages and Chat Data

Messages that you send through BlueMesh are transmitted to the Bluetooth device you choose to connect with.

The Bluetooth chat feature is designed for direct nearby device communication and does not require our servers to deliver the messages.

Depending on the application features and settings, conversation information may be stored locally on your device so that the app can display chat history or provide related functionality.

We do not intentionally collect or upload the contents of your Bluetooth conversations to our servers as part of the core chat functionality.

5. Local Storage

BlueMesh may store certain application information locally on your device. This may include:

• Application preferences and settings
• Bluetooth connection information required for app functionality
• Chat or conversation history, where supported
• Application state and feature settings

Local information remains on your device unless you choose to share it or another Android feature or application accesses it through a permission or sharing action you initiate.

6. Notifications

BlueMesh may request Android notification permission so that it can display notifications related to Bluetooth connections, messages, service status, or other application events.

Notifications can be disabled at any time through your Android device settings.

7. Internet and Network Access

The core Bluetooth messaging functionality is designed to operate between nearby compatible devices without requiring mobile internet.

The application nevertheless requests internet and network-state permissions because integrated services and application features may require network access.

Network access may be used for purposes such as:

• Displaying advertisements
• Push notification services
• Application updates
• Support or remote configuration
• Diagnostics and service functionality

8. Advertising

BlueMesh may display advertisements using Google Mobile Ads (AdMob).

Google and its advertising partners may process information such as advertising identifiers, device information, approximate location, application interaction information, and other information as permitted by applicable settings and law.

Advertising information is handled according to Google's applicable policies and privacy practices.

You can manage advertising-related settings through your Android device and Google account settings where available.

9. Push Notifications and OneSignal

BlueMesh may use OneSignal to provide push notifications or notification-related functionality.

OneSignal may process information such as a device or subscription identifier, application information, notification status, and technical information necessary to deliver notifications.

Notification permissions are controlled by the Android operating system, and you may disable notifications through your device settings.

10. Third-Party Services

Information stored locally by the application may remain on your device until you remove it through available application features, clear the application's data, or uninstall the application.

BlueMesh is not specifically directed toward children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly request or collect personal information from children for the purpose of creating user profiles.
