Privacy Policy

Effective Date: September 3, 2026
Passport Photo & ID Creator respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be accessed or processed when you use our Android application, why it is used, how third-party services may process information, and the choices available to you.

This Privacy Policy applies to the mobile application Passport Photo & ID Creator and describes our privacy practices in connection with the application's features, including photo capture, photo import, editing, face detection, passport and ID photo preparation, print layouts, and export.

By installing or using the application, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the practices described here, please discontinue use of the application.

1. Information and Permissions

The application does not require you to create an account or provide information such as your name, postal address, or telephone number in order to use its core photo-creation features.

Depending on the features you use and your Android version, the application may request access to the following device capabilities:

Permissions are used to provide the corresponding application functionality. You can manage or revoke applicable permissions through your Android device settings.

2. Camera Access

If you choose to take a photo using the application, the app requests access to your device camera.

Camera access is used to capture the image you request for passport, visa, ID, or other supported photo purposes. The application does not intentionally use the camera to continuously monitor you in the background.

If you deny camera permission, you can still use features that do not require camera access, such as importing an existing photo, where available.

3. Photos and Media

You may choose an existing image from your device for editing or passport-photo preparation. The application may request the appropriate Android photo or media permission depending on your device and Android version.

Photos are used to perform actions requested by you, including cropping, rotation, mirroring, brightness adjustment, contrast adjustment, saturation adjustment, alignment, resizing, and export.

Your photos remain under your control. The core photo-editing functionality is designed to process selected images locally on your device rather than requiring you to upload your personal photos to a remote server.

4. Photo Processing

Passport Photo & ID Creator provides local image-processing functionality for creating and editing passport-style and ID photos.

Depending on the feature being used, processing may include:

The application is designed so that ordinary photo-editing operations can be performed on your device without requiring personal photos to be uploaded to our servers.

If a future feature introduces remote processing or another form of online data transmission, this Privacy Policy and the application's applicable disclosures will be updated accordingly.

5. Face Detection

The application may use face-detection technology to assist with positioning and alignment when creating passport or ID photos.

Face detection is used for functionality such as identifying the approximate location of facial features and helping you position the face within the selected photo guidelines.

Face detection is not intended to determine or verify your identity, authenticate you, or create an identity profile.

The application may use Google ML Kit's face-detection technology. Where the relevant ML functionality operates on-device, facial detection processing is performed locally on your device.

Important: Face detection should not be considered biometric identification. The application does not intentionally use face detection to identify a particular person.

6. Local Storage and Exported Files

Photos, exported files, project information, and application preferences may be stored locally on your device when necessary to provide application functionality.

When you export a photo, the application may create files in JPG, PNG, or PDF format. Depending on your Android version and the export mechanism used, files may be stored in an application-related pictures or media location.

You control files stored on your device and can delete or manage them using Android or compatible file-management tools.

Uninstalling the application may remove application-specific local data, subject to Android system behavior and files that you have separately exported or moved to other locations.

7. Internet Access

The application may use network connectivity for services that require internet access, including advertising, application-update functionality, and other applicable services.

Internet access is generally not required for photo-editing operations that are performed entirely on your device.

Network services may collect technical information according to their own privacy policies and terms.

8. Advertising and AdMob

Passport Photo & ID Creator may display advertisements through third-party advertising services, including Google Mobile Ads (AdMob).

Advertising providers may automatically process certain information from or about your device for purposes such as delivering, measuring, limiting, and improving advertisements.

Depending on the applicable configuration, region, device, consent status, and advertising request, this information may include:

The information processed by advertising providers is subject to their own privacy policies and applicable terms.

You can learn more about Google's privacy practices through Google's official privacy documentation.

9. App Updates

Update functionality may communicate with Google Play services and may require an internet connection.

Information handled by Google Play services is subject to Google's applicable privacy policy and terms.

10. Third-Party Services

The application may use third-party libraries and services to provide specific functionality. Depending on the version and configuration of the application, these may include:

Third-party services may process technical information in accordance with their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review the privacy policies and terms of the relevant third-party providers.

11. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal photos or intentionally provide your personal photos to third parties for their independent marketing purposes.

We may also disclose information where reasonably necessary to:

12. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information handled by the application and to reduce the risk of unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

Photos processed locally remain on your device unless you intentionally share, export, back up, or otherwise transmit them using functionality provided by Android or another application.

However, no method of electronic storage, processing, or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You should use reasonable security measures on your device, including a secure screen lock and current Android security updates.

13. Data Retention and Deletion

Because the application's core photo-processing features are designed primarily for local use, personal photos processed by those features are not intentionally retained by us on a central server.

Photos and exported files saved on your device remain there until you delete or otherwise manage them.

Information that may be processed by third-party services, such as advertising or Google Play services, is subject to the retention practices and policies of those providers.

You can remove locally stored application data through Android's application settings or uninstall the application. Separately exported files may need to be deleted manually.

14. Your Privacy Choices

You have control over several permissions and device-level settings used by the application.

Depending on your Android version, you can manage permissions for:

You can deny a permission when requested or revoke a previously granted permission through Android settings. Some application features may not work when the associated permission is disabled.

Passport Photo & ID Creator is not specifically designed to collect personal information from children.

We do not knowingly create user accounts or profiles for children through the application.

If you believe that personal information has been provided to us by a child in a manner that should not have occurred, please contact us so that we can review the situation and take appropriate action.

Third-party services integrated into the application may have their own age requirements and privacy practices.
