PDF QR Code Scanner App ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. This policy outlines how we handle data and reinforces our commitment to Offline-First Security.

1. 100% On-Device Processing

The core philosophy of our application is to keep your data under your control. All primary functions, including:

Extracting QR codes from multi-page PDF documents.
Scanning physical codes via the Camera.
Detecting codes within Local Images and screenshots.
Generating custom QR codes for your own use.

Are performed entirely locally on your Android device. We do not use cloud-based rendering or remote OCR. Your documents and images are never uploaded to our servers or any third-party cloud.

2. What Data We Do NOT Collect

To be completely transparent, we want to explicitly state that we do NOT collect:

Your name, address, or contact details (unless you email us for support).
The content of your PDF files or the images you scan.
Your location data (GPS coordinates).
Information about other apps on your device.

3. Information Collected by Third-Party Services

To provide advertising, notifications, and analytics, we integrate SDKs from trusted providers. These services may collect technical information (such as your Advertising ID, IP address, and device model) to function. Please refer to their privacy policies:

4. System Permissions Usage

Our app requires specific permissions to function correctly:

Camera: Used strictly for scanning QR codes. It is only active when you are on the "Scan Camera" screen.
Storage/Files: Necessary to read the PDF and image files you explicitly choose to scan, and to save your exported reports (PDF, CSV, JSON).
Internet & Network State: Used to load advertisements (via AdMob) and to receive important service notifications (via OneSignal).

5. Data Retention & User Control

Your scan history is stored in a private SQLite Database on your device. It is not synced to the cloud. You have total control:

You can delete individual scan entries at any time.
You can clear your entire history in the Settings menu.
Uninstalling the app will permanently delete all locally stored history and records.

6. Data Security

We employ standard industry practices to ensure your local data is secure. Since we do not transmit your documents over the internet, the risk of data interception is eliminated at the architectural level. We recommend keeping your device updated and using a secure lock screen to protect your local data.

7. Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13. Our service is not directed at children, and we encourage parents to monitor their children's mobile usage.
