Savings Tracker ("we", "our", or "us") values your privacy. This policy outlines how we handle data within our mobile application. We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of data protection and transparency.

            Privacy Principle: We follow an "Offline-First" philosophy. Your financial journey is personal, and we believe it should stay that way. We do not own, sell, or even see your financial data.
        

1. Data Ownership & Offline Storage

Savings Tracker is designed as an offline-first tool. All data entered into the app, including:

Savings Goals and target amounts
Transaction history (Deposits & Withdrawals)
Personal notes and categories
App preferences and settings

is stored locally on your device's internal storage using an encrypted database. We do not transmit this data to any remote servers, nor do we have any access to your financial records.

2. Permissions Used

To provide a functional and reliable experience, the app requires the following permissions:

INTERNET ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE

Required for checking app maintenance status, pre-loading ads, and facilitating push notification tokens.

POST_NOTIFICATIONS

Used to send you goal reminders and milestone celebrations that you have opted into.

VIBRATE

Provides haptic feedback for certain app interactions to improve user experience.

3. Information Collection via Third Parties

While we do not collect your data directly, our app integrates trusted third-party services that may collect specific non-personal or device-specific information:

Google AdMob: Used to display non-intrusive advertisements. AdMob may use your device's Advertising ID to show relevant content and perform analytics.
OneSignal: Used to manage and deliver push notifications. OneSignal may collect device identifiers and usage data to ensure reliable message delivery.

4. Data Security & Backups

Since your data lives on your device, the primary responsibility for its security rests with you. We strongly recommend:

Using biometric or PIN-based screen locks on your device.
Enabling full-disk encryption if available on your operating system.
Manual Backups: When you use the "Export" feature, the resulting file (JSON or CSV) contains your raw data. You should store these files in a secure, private cloud or physical location.

5. Children's Privacy

Our app is not intended for individuals under the age of 13. we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we discover that a child has provided us with personal information, we will take immediate steps to delete it.
