Privacy Policy

Effective Date: August 17, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Screenshot Blocker – Screen Lock ("Screenshot Blocker", "we", "our", or "the app") handles information when you use the application.

Screenshot Blocker is a privacy and security utility designed to help prevent screenshots and screen recordings of protected screens within the application. The app uses Android's built-in FLAG_SECURE window security mechanism to protect supported screens.

1. Information We Collect

Screenshot Blocker does not require you to create an account and does not require personal information such as your name, address, contacts, messages, or passwords to provide its core functionality.

Your protection preferences and related application settings are stored locally on your device so that your selected protection configuration can be restored when you use the application again.

Privacy by design: The core screenshot-protection functionality operates on your device and does not require your personal content to be uploaded to our servers.

2. Files and Personal Content

Screenshot Blocker does not need access to your photos, videos, contacts, messages, or personal files to perform its core screenshot-blocking functionality.

The application is designed to protect screens belonging to the application itself. It does not provide a mechanism for blocking screenshots inside unrelated third-party applications.

3. How Screenshot Protection Works

When protection is enabled, the application uses Android's FLAG_SECURE window security feature. This instructs the Android operating system to prevent protected windows from being captured by supported screenshot and screen-recording mechanisms.

Depending on the Android version and device manufacturer, a protected screen may be blocked from capture or may appear as a blank or black image.

Important: Screenshot Blocker cannot control screenshot behavior in other applications. For example, it cannot prevent screenshots inside WhatsApp, Gallery, a web browser, or another unrelated application.

4. Local Storage

Application preferences, including protection selections and interface settings, may be stored locally on your device.

These settings are used to maintain your preferred configuration and restore protection when appropriate.

5. Advertising

Screenshot Blocker may display advertisements through Google AdMob.

Google and its advertising partners may process information such as advertising identifiers, device-related information, IP address, approximate location, and advertising interaction data in accordance with their applicable policies and your Android or Google advertising settings.

The advertising SDK may collect information automatically when advertisements are displayed or interacted with.

For more information about Google's privacy practices, please review Google's applicable privacy documentation.

6. Third-Party Services

The application may use third-party services that help provide advertising, application functionality, updates, diagnostics, or other supporting services.

These third-party providers may process limited technical information according to their own privacy policies and terms.

Third-party services are not controlled by Screenshot Blocker. We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of the relevant service providers for additional information about their data practices.

7. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information handled by the application. Core protection settings are maintained locally on your device.

However, no software or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

8. Data Retention

Screenshot Blocker does not maintain a user account or require personal data to be stored on our servers for its core functionality.

Local application settings remain on your device until they are changed, cleared, or removed by you or by the Android operating system.

9. Children's Privacy

Screenshot Blocker is not specifically directed toward children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the application's core functionality.

If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us through a support or other communication channel, please contact us so that appropriate action can be considered.

10. Your Choices

You can control the application's protection settings through its Settings and Protection Manager features.

You may also control advertising and certain Android privacy settings through your device's system settings and applicable Google settings.

11. Permissions

Screenshot Blocker requests only the permissions necessary for the features implemented by the application.

The permissions and Android capabilities used by the application may change as the app evolves or as Android platform requirements change.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the application, applicable services, legal requirements, or our privacy practices.

Any updated version will be made available through the application or the location where this Privacy Policy is published.

13. Contact Us

If you have questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy, please contact the developer through the support or feedback option provided in Screenshot Blocker.
